She approached the buffet altar, its platters crafted from raw blue apatite, rose quartz, and labradorite. Each dish shimmered with longing, reflecting not food—but fragments of Brownie Dog’s journeys. Floating frogs leapt between beams of light. Time-bending turtles spiraled in slow dance. Golden fields pulsed to the rhythm of memory.
A single pendant lay at the altar’s center, quiet… until she spoke his name.
